Determining, comunicating and comparing the quality charachteristics of software architectures.
Architecture evaluation is an indispensable tool for evaluating the quality of a design or an existing solution, or for making a sound decision for or against continuation of a project. Architecture evaluation methods and results provide increased transparency and thus support the communication within the project team. Comparison of the current state of development with the defined requirements puts the software project on the test bench and enables development of solid scenarios as a basis for the evaluation. Particularly nowadays where in many cases it’s a matter of determining whether software already in use can be broken down into microservices, the architecture evaluation can provide valuable assistance.
The training provides more security and transparency for your project.
In this training module, we focus on the scenario-based evaluation method ATAM (Architecture Tradeoff Analysis Method). By focussing on the most important aspects of a project, ATAM promotes communication in respect of technical issues, so that not only the actual architecture work but also the teamwork within the architecture development is made easier.
The iSAQB-certified architecture evaluation training module provides the participants with the knowledge and skills necessary for the evaluation of software architectures. The objective is to be able to formulate requirements on software architectures and to determine the extent to which these are fulfilled.
