Michael

Experience and qualifications
Michael has over 30 years of IT experience as a full-stack developer, development manager, software architect, and consultant.
As a Senior Software and AI Engineer, he designs and develops AI applications and RAG systems, most recently in the regulated financial sector and for a cybersecurity platform focused on NIS 2 compliance.
His current focus is on integrating LLM and RAG components into existing software architectures and automating the validation of AI-generated results.
Previously, he spent many years as a development manager, overseeing software architecture, application development, and quality assurance.
With this combination of traditional software architecture expertise and hands-on experience in modern AI projects, Michael helps teams design robust, secure, and maintainable AI systems.
Personal Philosophy
What continues to fascinate Michael about IT is that there is always something new to learn and new topics to explore.
This curiosity also shapes his perspective on AI: he firmly believes that AI components deserve the same architectural care and attention as any other part of a software system.
He emphasizes transparent, well-documented architectural decisions and the importance of considering quality, security, and compliance from the very beginning.
Special successes
• Michael designed and further developed a RAG-based software architecture that automatically answers complex security questionnaires in the regulated financial sector and validates the generated responses.
• He contributed to the design and implementation of an AI-powered cybersecurity management platform for NIS 2 compliance.
• He has extensive architectural experience across various industries, including publishing and healthcare, and has successfully completed numerous projects in leadership roles within agile environments.
• He has designed and successfully delivered technical training courses on AI and RAG, microservice architectures, agentic software development, and data science.
Personal style
Michael places great importance on explaining even complex technical concepts in a practical and accessible way. Real-world examples and hands-on exercises ensure that participants not only hear the content but truly understand it.
For him, training is not a one-way process: everyone involved learns from one another, and sharing experiences is an essential part of the learning process.
Last but not least, training should be enjoyable for everyone, as people learn best in an open, relaxed, and engaging atmosphere.
